We are one of the few moving companies in the Netherlands that have an electric stair climber. We have expertise in the use of this device and experience with its operation. The electric stair climber is deployed for moving pianos, refrigerators, safes, jukeboxes, and large cabinets.
How does an electric stair climber work?
The stair climber itself climbs up and down the stairs, taking steps as it goes. It's a large hand truck on which the object to be moved is strapped. The large wheels have a locking mechanism that allows them to roll in only one direction on the stairs. This prevents them from rolling back. The mover holds the hand truck from above and can operate it with buttons, activating the stair climbing system. The stair climber can carry a weight of up to 250 kilograms but requires ample space to operate effectively. Therefore, its use is generally not possible in regular residential homes.
