How much does furniture transport cost?
Transporting 1 item costs €50. Each additional item costs €20. It's possible to have furniture packed for €20 per item, and indoor pickup and delivery costs €20 per item. More information about our rates can be found here..
How do you pack furniture for moving?
We can do it for you, but you can save money by preparing it yourself. What you need is a large roll of plastic wrap or a roll of tape. Additionally, blankets and pieces of cardboard are handy.
Instructions for moving your furniture:
- Wrap a sofa with blankets and secure it well with plastic wrap or tape. Make sure all corners are covered.
- You can also wrap a cabinet with blankets, or you can shield the corners with cardboard. Be careful with tape, as it can pull off the paint.
- For flat parts of, for example, a wardrobe, you can slide a moving box over the ends to protect the corners.
- You can use a moving box in the same way to pack paintings.
- You can wrap mattresses with mattress covers. These plastic covers can be bought online or at a hardware store. We do not recommend this because these covers tear easily and are not very useful. We have textile mattress covers with a zipper for your mattresses.
- For box spring bed bases and headboards, you can again use blankets to wrap them.
- You can cover your tabletop with cardboard and then tape it closed.
How does Furniture Transport work?
The evening before your appointment, you'll receive a 2-hour time slot from us within which we'll arrive at address 1. If we're not heading directly to the unloading address, you'll also receive a time slot for the second address. On the day of transport, the driver will call you when leaving the previous customer to give you an estimated arrival time.
Depending on what we agree upon, you'll either have the furniture ready on the sidewalk, or we'll come inside to pick it up. If we pick it up indoors, we only do this on ground level. So, it could be on the ground floor, without any stairs, or in an apartment with a lift.
It's possible to have the furniture packed by us. We do this with moving blankets and plastic wrap. Your furniture is thus protected against scratches from bumps and dirt.
It's possible to have more than 1 item transported by us for an additional fee. An item is one complete piece. For example, a dresser consisting of 2 parts counts as 2 items. We make an exception for a single bed consisting of a base and a mattress. We count these 2 parts as 1 item. A disassembled wardrobe consists of multiple parts (shelves), and for this, we count a single-door wardrobe as 2 items.
As a condition for the furniture to be transported, we stipulate that it should be a maximum of 220 centimeters long and weigh a maximum of 85 kilograms. Exceptions are possible, of course. For these, we provide a customized price for you.
The furniture transport is carried out by 1 driver, so you need to arrange for help with loading and unloading. We have various tools such as a hand truck, dollies, straps, and moving blankets. The moving truck has a tailgate, and your furniture is covered with moving blankets and secured inside the truck.
After picking up your furniture, we may first go to other customers. By combining orders, we make our low rates possible.
Payment is possible via bank transfer in advance, or on the day of transport with the driver in cash. We do not have a card reader.
Is furniture transport insured?
Yes, the transport is insured up to a maximum value of €100,000. It's important to mention that there are conditions that apply. An insurer is not a philanthropic institution. Simply put, if sufficient measures have been taken to prevent damage and damage still occurs, the insurance will become active. For example, this could include an accident on the way, a piece of furniture falling off the tailgate, or a mover dropping something.

Safes, pianos, heavy tables, large cabinets, and other furniture that is difficult to move due to its size and/or the circumstances in which it needs to be moved.
